Introduction to the Manufacturing Process

How Our Titanium Accessories Are Made

At Leger, we handle every step of the accessory production process,
from design and manufacturing to shipping. Here's a brief overview of the process until your order reaches you.

Wax molding process

Step 1Wax Molding

First, based on the accessory design, we create a master model.
From this master model, a rubber mold is made.
Molten wax is then poured into the rubber mold.
Once the wax hardens, it is removed from the mold.

Tree creation process

Step 2Tree Creation

Excess parts are trimmed from the completed wax molds, then meticulously polished and shaped. Each carefully polished wax mold is then attached to a tree-like structure.
(This is called a "tree" because the attached wax molds resemble a tree.)

Dewaxing and firing process

Step 3Dewaxing and Firing

The completed wax tree is coated with a special material, which hardens to form a ceramic mold (investment mold).
The investment mold is placed in a special furnace, where the wax inside melts and flows out under pressure and heat.
Once the wax melts out of the mold, a cavity in the exact shape of the wax tree is formed.
The investment mold is then placed in a firing furnace and hardened at high temperatures.

Casting process

Step 4Casting

Using our independently developed miniature titanium melting furnace for accessories, titanium is melted in a vacuum and poured into the investment mold.
Titanium melts instantly at temperatures over 1,800℃, making this the most difficult and crucial step, requiring constant attention.

Polishing process

Step 5Polishing

Once the poured titanium hardens, the surface coating is removed, and the finished tree is extracted.
Each piece is then separated from the tree, and unnecessary parts like cut surfaces are removed.
To achieve a smooth feel, the pieces are polished repeatedly using various types of machines.

Finishing process

Step 6Finishing

Parts that cannot be polished sufficiently by machine are meticulously hand-polished using tools like rotary tools, ensuring a smooth finish.

Inspection process

Step 7Inspection

Products that have passed the polishing and finishing stages are thoroughly checked one by one by our staff to ensure they are of the highest quality.

Only products that pass this final inspection are delivered to our customers.
